Our Journey
Rosana Olivares is our mother, our founder, our director and the driving force behind our wonderful jewellery business.
Rosana founded The Jewel Box in 1982. Her determination, attention to detail and belief in simply doing things well have helped shape our jewellery shop into the strong and stable family business that it is today.
For over 40 years, we have provided our customers with jewellery that is beautiful, well made and offered at the fairest possible price.
Rosana continues to work tirelessly, and she has instilled in us the strong values that remain at the heart of our business today: our customers are forever. We will always do our best to help you in any way we can, so that you return to us not only for our beautiful jewellery, but because you trust us and know that you will receive great service and personal care.
Today, The Jewel Box is a family business, with Rosana and her three daughters, Ana-Lisa, Elka and Christina, working together alongside a dedicated team of ten. Our team includes our shop and administration staff, as well as our skilled workshop team, bringing together expertise in jewellery making, technical work, stone setting, design, gemomlogy and valuations.
We are traditional jewellers with an innovative and resourceful approach to our business. Our emphasis is on excellent design, quality and craftsmanship.
We source our jewellery and materials carefully and directly, from our selected diamonds, both natural and lab grown and diamond settings to our beautiful gold, platinum and silver collections. Our jewellery is produced specifically for us, and we also have our own workshops where we carry out repairs, create bespoke jewellery and bring new designs to life.
Above The Jewel Box are our two dedicated workshops, working seamlessly side by side. Our traditional workshop is where we carry out detailed repairs and handcraft jewellery using time-honoured techniques. Alongside it is our advanced laser workshop, where we design, precision-cut and hand-finish every Beautiful Moments by Elka creation.
We also have our own line of personalised jewellery, Beautiful Moments by Elka, designed and made in our own workshop.
We continue to grow our jewellery business because we genuinely love what we do and are passionate about jewellery. Most of all, we love customer satisfaction. We thrive on being able to find that perfect piece of jewellery for our customers.
Our website will continue to grow and develop, and our aim is that, as it does, it will accurately represent who we are, what we believe in and what The Jewel Box is all about.
